Job SummaryThe Business Development Assistant works closely with the Business Development Manager and other departmental teams to provide support for corporate tradeshows and sponsorship programs (50 events annually) to ensure successful execution. This includes assisting with logistical planning of large multi-segment tradeshows as well as supporting smaller sponsorships and meetings. Additionally, the employee will support marketing tasks like developing and maintaining a business lead database and supporting website and digital media analytics. Essential FunctionsGreets clients and visitors and fill in for receptionist as required.General administrative duties as assigned including typing, answering phone, opening and sorting mail and collecting and distributing messages.Keeps immediate supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts and problems identified. Performs the necessary actions to book trade show spaces, hotel reservations, flight reservations and limousine pick-ups. Coordinates with employees and outside representatives to make the proper flight and hotel arrangements.Identify items and place orders for company trade show materials (giveaways, shirts, etc.).Plan on-site meetings and take meeting minutes as required.Develop and maintain a contact database of all business contacts, and perform outreach as neededSupport Website and Social Media Analytics Efforts by working with Business Development Manager and Digital Media Manager to provide web analytics to understand customer behavior.Support organization and packing of trade show shipmentsAdditional office duties as assigned.Qualifications/Minimum requirements Must be a U.S. citizen.High School/GED Degree RequiredBachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business PreferredAnalytics reporting experience preferred.Proficient with using office technologies (e.g. MS Office, copier, scanner, printer, and PC Desktop). Must be extremely proficient in Excel.Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.Excellent verbal and written English communication skillsStrong work ethic; can work independently or in a group.Highly professional with excellent telephone etiquette.
